The CourtCall Telephonic Appearance Program
is an organized and voluntary way for lawyers to telephonically make routine
civil, criminal, probate, bankruptcy and other appearances from their offices, homes
or other convenient locations. Unlike current practices, neither Court staff
nor lawyers are required to coordinate the time or logistics of the call.
Instead, by simply paying a reasonable fixed fee and filing with CourtCall the
Request for CourtCall Appearance form in advance, a lawyer may make a CourtCall
Appearance. While streamlining procedures for the Court, CourtCall Appearances
also enable lawyers to avoid travel, traffic and weather conditions creating
substantial litigation cost savings for clients. A brief service demonstration
is effortlessly scheduled at the convenience of the Court. CourtCall
Appearances have saved attorneys hundreds of thousands of hours while saving
clients tens of millions of dollars in both small and large legal communities
around the country.
CourtCall can also provide revenue for the
Court, which has no cost or risk at anytime and is under no long term
obligation. CourtCall provides all program administration, installation of a
state-of-the-art full-duplex speakerphone, supplies, promotion and lawyer
education. The Court merely conducts its regular business, while sharing in
revenue from each paid CourtCall Appearance. Courts have been very creative in
the use of the revenue generated from CourtCall Appearances. Should a Court
decline to share in the revenue, the fee to the participating attorneys is accordingly reduced. |

CourtCall offers two service platforms: the "Open
Court" platform which simulates the actual courtroom experience where all
who are present hear the proceedings; and a "Privacy" platform for
Judges who wish to conduct their CourtCall proceedings privately, in chambers.
On the Privacy platform a TeleConference Specialist remains on the call for its
duration and serves as a "virtual" clerk for the Judge, bringing into
the call only those with whom the Judge wishes to speak. Using either or both
platforms, CourtCall tailors the program for each Judge and not all Judges in a
Court are required to join the service.
Conceived and
