Introduction

Beginning in March of 2025, the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) will begin utilizing the CourtCall Video Platform to conduct status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, priority conferences and lien conferences.

DWC Judges will operate the platform in accordance with their preferences and governing procedures. CourtCall does not have scheduling, hearing, contact, access or other information other than as posted on this page or at the DWC site.

Each Workers’ Compensation Judge will have their own virtual Courtroom that has been created to electronically replicate the ideal workflow.   Links to all virtual Courtrooms are available on the DWC site, individual Notice of Hearings as well as the CourtCall site.

The CourtCall Video Platform is a fully browser-based application that requires no downloads or special hardware.  Participants simply need access to an internet-enabled device with a webcam and microphone / speaker.

The CourtCall Video Platform includes a wide array of powerful tools to allow participants to conduct effective and efficient hearings.  Examples of such tools and features include:

  • Integrated Calendar Management – Calendar Information Extraction
  • File Sharing and Document Collaboration
  • Virtual Gallery
  • Cross-Conference Chat Capabilities
  • Hand Raising
  • Live Support

A variety of user guides, manuals, self-tests and videos are available for public participants who wish to learn more about the CourtCall Video Platform.
